LIVING LIFE IN THE SLOW LANE

We are petrified of the slow lane because we have allowed ourselves to be defined by the pace of our lives and our accomplishments. The slow lane does two things: 1) it makes us simply slow down — in our mindset, this means that we cease to be productive, and 2) the slow lane tends to make us sit in the silence — we cannot rush so we cannot do and the silence is ponderous and chilling to us because, for those few brief moments, we are put into a place where we are alone with ourselves… You, too will get caught in the slow lane. It’s inevitable in spite of all that you might do. But perhaps next time, you’ll choose to stay in the slow lane, switch off the radio and thank God for the time He’s allowed you to stop.

Memory

All alone in the moonlight
I can smile at the old days
I was beautiful then
I remember the time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again

I lost my SE P1i today… still couldn’t figure out how it happened.

It’s not losing the phone that bothers me but the fact that I lost it in a matter of minutes from leaving the confined and secured office area and going to the nearby mall where the car was parked. Did I lose it when I opened my bag for inspection? In front of Toy Kingdom? When I was on the escalator? Was somebody following me? Isn’t there a safe place anymore?

Still have the same number (SMART provided a replacement sim card) but the 5-month old unit was gone. So please be patientif you send me a message and I’d response with a “Who you?”. I just don’t have the energy to rebuild my phonebook.

The saved messages from family, friends and colleagues, weekly construction pictures of the house, study tour documentation, and many other things that are irreplaceable are now gone

But as they say, life goes on and there will be more memories to come. C’est la vie!

Daylight
I must wait for the sunrise
I must think of a new life
And I musn’t give in
When the dawn comes
Tonight will be a memory too
And a new day will begin
